During the week commencing 15th June & 22nd June, we will be holding our annual trials and looking to add players to our already talented youth team set up for the 2020/21 season. Obvioulsy these are difficult times as we adjust to our new normal. We will be doing our trials in line with FA and Goverment regulations and are publishing our risk assessment for all to view to see how we are managing the trials inline with the regulations.
Camberley Town operate at very successful youth system and next season will be running teams again in the Isthmian Youth League (formley known as the Ryman Youth League) and the Allied Counties Youth League. No other team has such access to these two leagues. We firmly believe that the Ryman League is the best level of football out side of professional academy football and that combined with the grounding that the Allied Counties League provides makes it an excellent combination to enhance the careers of talented individuals.
In the 2018/19 season NINE of the current squad represented the first team in the Combined Counties. In the 2019/20 season EIGHT youth team players featured for the first team. This demonstrates our clubs culture of ‘giving youth a chance’, we firmly believe that if you are good enough you are old enough and our First Team managers, have demonstrated this. The nine graduates into our first team, is significantly more than any other team in the area or at our level, in terms of this there is no other rival to Camberely Town.
Actions speak louder than words. We give youth a chance. Book your place on our trials, perhaps you could be the next player to shine in our system.

Why Camberley Town?
Our Youth Team coaching staff have extensive experience of this level. Our Youth Team Head Coach, Craig Green, will be in his 13th year at the club. He has no family member playing and has no allegance to any one player, he just acts with the best interests of the club, this makes Camberley different to 9/10 Youth Teams. In his time at Camberley, Craig has a proven track record of getting players through our Youth Team and in to our First Team, since 2011/12 he has overseen 61 players make the step up into our first team to play in the Combined Counties and 60 players into senior football. He will be supported by a whole host of other experienced coaches, some new and others exisiting. One thing is for certain, no other team in this area, will have a coaching staff more expereicneced than ours at leading and preparing a team at this level.
Other Coaches include Mark Anderson, Darren Jenkins, Dan Burgess, Colin Cooper and others TBA.
Mark has been associated with Camberley for a very long time as a youth coach with CTYFC. He has managed the successful U16 team alongside Darren Jenkins. In addition Mark played for Aldershot, Fleet, Cove, Sandhurst scoring hatfuls of goals in the non league pyramid.
He has managed at Badshot Lea and coached at Godalming and Fleet. Mark is scheme leader of the Pulse Premier Academy run out of Tominscote College.
Darren Jenkins was Mark's assistant at our age group team and at U16's joined the U18 set up. Darren also managed several other CTYFC age group teams.
Dan Burgess is joining the staff this season after moving from Basingstoke Town U18's last year, where before the early ending of the season he had lead his side to be top of the ACYL Central division. Before that he was the successful manager of the Potley Strikers age group team where he was the successful MFC Popley manager winning the EBFA Div 1 and then the following season 18/19 completing the treble U16 winning the EBFA Div1, EBFA Cup and the Hampshire U16 Cup.
We know what it takes to be successful at this level, we know the challenges that we will face this season, that sets us ahead of the start up teams who are making a fresh start. Why risk your future with someone or a team new to this, when you could join our team and be in the safe and experienced hands of our coaches?
The Club and it's History
Camberley Town have two youth teams. One team is entered into the Isthmian Youth League (Ryman Youth League) the other into the Allied Counties. We are the only team in the area to operate at this level. There is no doubt that the Isthmian Youth League is the best league at under 18 level, it physically and technically prepares our payers for first team football, in a way that no other league can. So being the only team in the area and only one of two Combined Counties League sides to have spots in this league, we are uniquely place to provide the structure and opportunity for player progression. This makes our Youth set up unrivalled in the area. We routinely play full time National League academies in the Isthmian League and our local rivals’ in the Allied Counties League. We consistently punch above our weight in the challenge we take on.
In the Isthmian Youth League we have finished in the top four four times out of the seven times we have been in the league, finishing as runners up with a record points total in 2013-14. In the Allied Counties League we are one of only two sides remaining in the league that has won the competition in the past.
On the pitch in the FA Youth Cup we’ve regularly reach the first round proper of the FA youth Cup. We have taken Dover (National League) and Bristol Rovers (league 2) to extra time and been drawn away to Colchester United. We have been the last Combined Counties Club in the FA Youth Cup six times out of the last seven seasons.
You can study A-level’s and still play for Camberley as this is not a related to an education course. We are totally independent of any post 16 football scheme and are just a semi-professional football club run with a professional mind set and attitude.
You can follow whatever education path that you would like to do. Our coaching staff are well connected in the local area. We have provided references for job applications and USA scholarship applicants and also have supported the production of their UCAS references.
Your education is important to us and we will support you in any way we can.
