Frimley Green Reserves (1) 1 Camberley Town Reserves (1) 3
18th August 2005 : Pre-Season Friendly

After a couple of friendlies that were cancelled (against Sheerwater and and Army side from Pirbright), Camberley Town's pre season for the reserves ended with a 3-1 win over local opposition, Frimley Green.

After agood start from the home side, Camberley found themselves a goal behind after 18 minutes when a cross from the right saw a static Camberley defence beaten to the ball by 'Fish' who slotted the ball home from close range. Camberley hit back within 4 minutes. Jamie Shannon's driven cross was laid into the path of James Gordon by Sam Rafique and Gordon finished clinically with a shot low into the bottom right hand corner of the net.

Camberley took the lead on 62 minutes when a low cross,  found Gavin Brainch coming in round the back of the Frimley Green defence and he slotted the ball home from a tight angle. The win was secured on 76 minutes when Frimley Green keeper Neil Taylor hit his clearance against Rob Lance. Lance controlled the loose ball and found John Sim who lofted the ball over the covering defenders and just inside the back post. Gavin Brainch followed up just to make sure the ball entered the net.
