END OF SEASON AWARDS CEREMONY AND DINNER

Camberley held their successful end of season award in the plush surroundings of the Green Room at Pine Ridge Golf Club, Frimley this evening. The event attended by just over 80 people saw the awards evenly shared out.

The first presentations went to the Under 18 Youth side which were presented by Eric Howard and Ron Gray. Assistant manager Alan Kennedy was away in Holland with Camberley Town Youth. David Hancock and Dean Frampton were given special achievement awards after starting the season in the Youth side and ended it playing regular first team football. Alan White collected the Most Improved Player. The Players Player of the Season went to David Clark and the Managers Player of the Season was collected by Andy Scott. Special thanks were given to Ron Gray for his tireless work for the Youth team throughout the season.

Eric Howard, this time with the help of Keith Benjamin then presented the awards for the Reserve team. Mick Hatton would also have been involved but was unable to attend due to his taxi breaking down in the heart of London this afternoon. The two main awards saw Adam Roberts collect the Players Player of the Season and Dean Frampton, the Managers Player of the Season. Andy Scott picked up the Supporters Player of the Season. There were also awards for Samir Rafique (top goalscorer) and Ben Acton (Most Improved Player). Luke Tuffs picked up a special award, having attended almost every training session in his four years at the club. Luke will be moving on to pastures new at the start of next season.

The 1st team awards opened with some humourous awards. Sam Rafique collecting the Worst dressed player award. Adam Galvin, calves of the year. Paul Dadson, for the impressive moves on the dance floor, given his age, got Dancer of the Year. Wobbly of the year went to Martyn Williams for his tantrum at Hertford. His teddy, toys and dummy, collected from the Hertford pitch made up his award. On a serious note, Graham Townsend picked up an award after winning the end of season Penalty King competition. Top Goalscorer award went to Martyn Williams. The rest of the first team awards almost became the Dan Ker show, as he collected both the Managers Player and the Players Player of the Season awards but was just pipped at the post by Paul Dadson for the Supporters Player of the Season.

Last but not least, the Club awards were presented by Chairman Ian Waldren. The first award given was the Chairman's Player of the Season and it went to Martyn Williams. Two Special Awards from the Surrey F.A. followed and these were awarded to Harry Lynch and Andrew Vaughan for 15 years service on the Club's committee. Harry Lynch then picked up a second award, jointly with Mick Horler as Clubmen of the Year. Before the next award Ian Waldren was happy to announce that the Club had secured and signed a 25 year lease on Krooner Park with the local council and also the the Youth set-up had achieved Charter Status with the F.A. This is a big step forward for the club who can now progress with the development of the Club, both on and off the field. The final two awards were then presented. The first was a special award for recognition of services to the club which was presented to Ben Clifford. The final and most prestigious award - the Chairman's Award went to Ron Gray.

RESTRUCTURING
At the League's officers meeting on Monday the seven Ryman clubs were 'rubber stamped' into the Combined Counties League. Hellenic League side Hounslow Borough also put in an application to join the league but this was turned down. Hounslow Borough will compete in the Hellenic Premier Division after winning the Hellenic Division One East title last season. AFC Wallingford will not be joining us in the Combined Counties Premier Division after finishing runners-up in Division 1. Both the Combined Counties League and the Hellenic League have agreed that they will move across and join the Hellenic Premier Division next season. At the F.A. yesterday, in an hour long meeting, Merstham's appeal over their ground grading was turned down. They had hoped to clinch a place in Ryman Division 1 South but they will now be playing Combined Counties football next season.

The constitution of the two divisions of the Combined Counties will be confirmed at the Combined Counties League AGM which takes place on 28th June 2006.

Monday, May 15th 2006

RESTRUCTURING
It is understood that the following clubs are being directed to the Combined Counties League by the Football Association for season 2006-07: Banstead Athletic, Camberley Town, Chertsey Town, Dorking, Egham Town, Epsom & Ewell and Wembley. There is a meeting of the League’s Officers on Monday 15 May (today) to further discuss the situation but, in accordance with information previously published, the proposed constitution for next season can neither be drafted nor published until all final ground inspections have been completed as at 1 June and recommendations made and approved.
Just a reminder to the players that there is a players meeting at Krooner Park at 6:45pm on Wednesday to briefly discuss pre-season arrangements. The meeting should not take long and you should be finished in time for the Champions League Final. Any players thinking of joining the club are also welcome.

Anyone who has not booked their tickets and ordered their meal for the End Of Season function need to submit order and payment ASAP as you will not be able to order on the night.

Saturday, May 27th 2006 - END OF SEASON PRESENTATION DINNER -
at Pine Ridge Golf Club, Old Bisley Road, Frimley - £22 a ticket - 7:00 p.m.

Thursday, May 11th 2006

RESTRUCTURING
News filtered through just after 3 p.m. this afternoon that six clubs from the disbanding Ryman Division 2 are joining the Combined Counties League They are Camberley Town, Chertsey Town, Egham Town, Epsom & Ewell, Dorking & Wembley. Banstead Athletic, who resigned from Division 1 have also been placed in the league. Croydon have been placed in the Kent League and Clapton in the Essex League. The remaining five sides, Hertford Town, Flackwell Heath, Chalfont St Peter, Edgware Town and Kingsbury Town are joining the Spartan South Midlands League. With AFC Wallingford gaining promotion from Division 1 as runners-up and Mole Valley Predators (disbanding), Southall (omited) and Godalming Town (promoted), the Combined Counties League have yet to decide which five sides will be making way for the incoming sides. This will probably be done on a ground grading basis with clubs with a Combined Counties C grading making way. One of the favourites to go unfortunately is Frimley Green, denying us one of a number of local derbies. From the world of fact and into the world of rumours, Warlingham, Champions of the Combined Counties Division One, who failed to get the necessary grading on their ground, have been reported to have made a last minute attempt to gain promotion through a possible ground share with Croydon. The agreement though is a verbal one and nothing has been signed. One rumour abound is that Horley Town have applied to join the Sussex League but there is no conformation of this either.

Saturday, April 29th 2006

Brook House failed on goal difference to clinch second place in the Ryman League despite winning 3-0 here at Krooner Park. Witham scraped past Flackwell Heath 3-2 to clinch that second spot. Camberley competed well in the first half and the match was goalless at halftime. Brook House broke the deadlock on 50 minutes through Ian Jones and it was Jones again who virtually sealed the three points with a second goal on 65 minutes. A Danny Ruoco goal in the final minute made it 3-0. With Epsom also losing , Camberley finished in 14th place in the table.

Thursday, April 27th 2006

Camberley held on to finish in 6th place in the Allied Counties League South Division on goal difference after Farnham Town were held to a 1-1 draw at home to Ash United

Wednesday, April 26th 2006

Mark Coombs was 21 years old when he died of an Asthma attack whilst played for Spenny's FC of the Aldershot & District Sunday League in 1988. For the fourth year running, Camberley have been happy to provide the pitch free of charge and also honoured to accept an invitation to compete in the match for the Mark Coombs Charity Cup. This season saw Cove Sunday, winners of the Aldershot & District Sunday League Premier Division accept the other invitation. Camberley, fielding a mixed side of first, reserve and youth players won the match 2-0. Tom McGarry opened the scoring on 12 minutes, volleying home, Sam Rafique's flick on. Adam Roberts made sure of the result on 33 minutes when he fired home a half cleared corner.

Saturday, April 22nd 2006

Camberley went close to making it six without defeat. After a good first half, Camberley opened the scoring when Tom McGarry scored his first goal for the club on 48 minutes, but Chertsey, always strong at home, leveled things when Luke Muldowney diverted a corner through the legs of Camberley keeper Kobi Anaman on 68 minutes. Martyn Williams had a great chance to give Camberley the lead again but lobbed the ball over the bar as well as the keeper. It looked as if Camberley might hold out for a draw but Dave Patterson struck on 85 minutes to give the home side the lead. John Pomroy made certain of the win with a goal on 88 minutes to make it 3-1.

Friday, April 21st 2006

Chairman, Ian Waldren confirmed in the local press today, that Paul Barry has been confirmed as Manager of the 1st team for next season. Until now he has been the caretaker manager since taking over from Koo Dumbuya

Monday, April 17th 2006

Camberley made it six points out of six over the Easter period with a 1-0 win over Croydon at Krooner Park today. The goal came after just two minutes through Martyn Williams who pounced to fire home after the Croydon defence failed to clear after a corner. Mitch While went close to a second hitting the bar after five minutes. Croydon hit back with a late period of pressure but Camberley held out for the win.

Sunday, April 16th 2006

RESTRUCTURING
The planned restructuring of level 4 looks set to go ahead after news of the recent extraordinary meeting at the F.A. has leaked out. Although League and F.A. officials were sworn to secrecy, the Combined Counties League let slip some information in their weekly bulletin. It states "It was agreed that the proposal for an increase to five step four divisions, previously agreed by the Leagues committee and the F.A., will remain unchanged. Therefore it is almost certain the proposed restructuring will go ahead.". The latest restructuring plan allows for a fifth level four division to be set up next season for clubs in the southern end of the country. There is also allowance for a sixth division to be set up to cover for the north and north midlands one there is sufficient clubs of the standard required who also have the necessary ground grading. The Unibond league's arbitration appeal to get the sixth division set up next season continues but looks set not to interfere with the new division for the Ryman League.

Saturday, April 15th 2006

For once it was Camberley who got the early goal and it set them on the way to their best win of the season at fellow strugglers Epsom & Ewell. Mitch While gave Camberley the early lead after just 3 minutes, a lead which Camberley held until the break. Further goals from Martyn Williams on 56 minutes and Mitch While, three minutes later put Camberley in control. A late 90th minute strike from Samir Rafique saw Camberley run out comfortable 4-0 winners. Camberley are now just a point behind Epsom and four clear of bottom side Clapton who lost 6-0 at home to Ware.

Camberley Reserves finished their season with another point at Molesey after being held to a 1-1 draw. Goalscorer to follow

Monday, April 10th 2006

The Ryman League officially announced in the Ryman League bulletin yesterday that Clapton have admitted playing an ineligible player during January and due to the infringement of the rules, they have been fined and docked the five points they gained during the period. Camberley are therefore no longer bottom of the table, for at least the next 24 hours.

Saturday, April 8th 2006

Another slow start for Camberley saw us concede a early goal at Kingsbury after just 5 minutes, and for the first half hour we did not look like getting a shot on target. In fact it was Camberley's first effort on target that resulted in the equaliser as a shot from outside the penalty area that found Martyn Williams in the penalty area and he diverted the ball past the keeper with his head. The second half saw Camberley have the better of the chances with Martyn Williams, Mitch While (Twice), Chris Shearer and debutant Tom McGarry all having good chances to score

Camberley Reserves, bottom of the division, pulled off one of the biggest surprises of the Southern Division season when they traveled to Tooting & Mitcham United, the league leaders, and came away with their first away win of the season. Andy Scott gave Camberley the lead and Camberley then held on as Tooting pressured for the equaliser that never came.

Thursday, April 6th 2006

Jason Milletti's stay at Chesham did not last long. Jason, who was on loan here from Aldershot Town, joined Chesham at Aldershot's request, but was not being used. He rejoined Camberley, just before the transfer deadline, on a temporary basis. He may feature in Saturday's match at Kingsbury, following which he will be suspended for a month, after not appearing for a representative match for the Hampshire F.A.. Jason looks set to sign for Basingstoke Town for the start of next season

Saturday, April 1st 2006

With the first team without a game, it gave Eric Howard the opportunity to strengthen the reserve side with some experience. It is the clubs policy not to draft in the whole 1st team squad for first team matches whatever the situation. The strengthened squad was unable snatch the points despite a good performance. Three Bridges won with a solitary goal which means Camberley must win their final two away matches at Tooting and Molesey to stand any chance of avoiding bottom place.

Saturday, March 25th 2006

Paul Barry remained undefeated as Camberley manager after today's game but only just, thanks to a stoppage time goal from Adam Galvin. Camberley did not get off to the best of starts, conceding a goal just three minutes into the game. Gary-Lee Pierce has been looking a long time to score his first goal in a Camberley match. Well he did it, but it was a header past his own keeper. Clapton made it 2-0 on 26 minutes when George Fowler rifled home from 20 yards. Camberley got a vital goal back before the break through Martyn Williams who fired home from close range after Paul Dadson's effort hit the crossbar. Despite having most of the second half, it took until stoppage time for Camberley to equalise through Adam Galvin who headed home Paul Dadson's cross

The reserves put in a battling performance at Corinthian Casuals but found themselves a couple of goals behind at the break. It was still 2-0 as we entered the final ten minutes but the side, consisting mainly of Youth team players who had played on Thursday night, ran out of steam in the wet conditions and conceded  four late goals to go down to a 6-0 defeat.

Thursday, March 23rd 2006

Camberley's Under 18 Allied Counties side completed their season with a trip to AFC Newbury. Unfortunately Camberley ended up on the wrong side of a five goal scoreline, losing 3-2. Darryl Hetzel and Graham Townsend scored the Camberley goals

Jason Milletti, who has been with us on loan from Aldershot Town for most of the season, signed for Chesham United this evening. We thank Jason for his efforts this season and wish him the best of luck at Chesham.

Saturday, March 19th 2006

Camberley celebrated Paul Barry's first game in charge of the first team with the Club's first away win in the league since last April. Paul Dadson gave Camberley the lead from the penalty spot after Dean Frampton was tripped in the penalty area. Dorking levelled things before the half time break when Justin Georgiou marked his home debut with the equaliser. Camberley retook the lead with an excellent finish from Mitch While with 20 minutes remaining. Both sides had the chances to add to the score but Camberley held on to clinch three vital points.

Friday, March 18th 2006

RESTRUCTURING
Camberley Town had their initial F.A. level 4 or 'E' ground grading visit this afternoon . A list of jobs to be done was made and are achievable by the March 31st deadline, and we can, if we choose apply for another visit to have the ground graded. The jobs mainly consist of minor repairs, the installation of emergency lighting and repair to a stretch of paving over the far side of the ground, all which will cost somewhere in excess of £1000.

It looks as if our chances of going into the newly formed Ryman Division 1 are small as we really need to finish in the top six but recent defeats have made that almost mathematically impossible so it is unlikely that we will apply for another visit after the work is done. It has been re-affirmed to us that Ryman Division 2 will be no more after the end of this season, no matter what happens with the Unibond arbitration and it looks like all the clubs in our division will be absorbed into the other level 5 divisions whatever position we finish in. The F.A. will be directing us which division we will be going into so we should know somewhere around May 11th, following an F.A. meeting on May 8th. The final decision with this lies with the F.A.

Regarding the situation with the appeal by the Unibond League. It is felt that the five division plan at level four will go ahead as planned. The Unibond are taking their appeal to arbitration, which rules out any possible appeal through the courts. The Unibond have stated that they have sufficient clubs of the required standard. From information received from various sources, there is no disagreement with the playing standard but it is known that at present there is a shortfall in numbers who have passed or will reach the required ground grading standard set down by the F.A. by March 31st to fill the division and the gaps that the clubs moving up will leave (Only 27 clubs of the 99 who applied to go to level four are north of Birmingham). If that is the case, it seems to us here at Camberley, that by dragging the appeal past the end of the season would mean that nothing gets implemented until the summer of 2007. If the Unibond go along with present plans they should have enough clubs with the required ground grading by the summer of 2007 to set up the new division anyway.

Wednesday, March 15th 2006

Camberley Reserves were beaten by three goals in the space of twelve minutes at title chasers Eastleigh this evening. Camberley put in a battling performance and went in at the half-time break at 0-0 but three goals between the 52nd and 64th minutes from Adam Roberts, Zach Glasspool and Nick Stavroulakis saw the home side clinch all three points. The defeat leaves Camberley bottom of the Southern Division of the Suburban League following Godalming's 3-1 win at Corinthian Casuals last night.

Tuesday, March 14th 2006

After a run of poor results this season which has seen Camberley slip adrift at the bottom of the table, Koo Dumbuya has stepped down from his 1st team managers duties with immediate effect following an amicable meeting with Club Chairman Ian Waldren. Chairman Ian Waldren hopes that Koo will remain at the club in another capacity but awaits Koo's decision. Assistant Manager Paul Barry will take over as 1st team manager until the end of the season. Paul has ten matches in order to close the four point gap on the team/teams above us in the table.

The Under 18's two match winning run was not extended to three as Camberley were narrowly defeated 2-1 this evening at Reading Town. Dean Frampton scored Camberley's goal.

Saturday, March 11th 2006

For the second time in fifteen days Camberley gave as good as they got against lead leaders Ware but once again, Ware's sharpness in front of goal saw them gain all three points. Ware took a first half lead through a Joe Stevens penalty which was cancelled out just before half time when Martyn Williams. Chris Ellerbeck struck in the second half to give Ware the points

The Reserves lead over bottom side Godalming town was reduced to just one point today. Camberley traveled to Chipstead in search of points but slipped to a 2-0 defeat. Godalming meanwhile clinched a 2-1 win over high flyers Merstham to move up to nine points

Wednesday, March 8th 2006

The Allied Counties side made it two wins in a row as Alton Town were seen off at Krooner Park. Leading scorer Graham Townsend struck a double to give Camberley at 2-1 win. Brown scored the goal for Alton. The win saw Camberley jump two places, above Farnham and Reading Town, into fifth place.

Saturday, March 4th 2006

Following two good home performances, Camberley put in a disappointing performance against promotion chasers Witham Town. Camberley found themselves a goal behind after 7 minutes through Kevin Hawes. That lead was extended to two before the half time break through Glen Revell. Witham secured the win in the second half with a third goal thanks to Kevin Budge. Adam Galvin went closest for Camberley with a shot that was saved under the crossbar by Paul Catley

The Reserves suffered defeat again, this time at Horley Town, losing 2-0. Godalming Town also lost and remain four points adrift of Camberley with three games in hand.

Thursday, March 2nd 2006

It may have taken a few years but Camberley's Allied Counties team has funally beaten their bogey side Farnham Town. Camberley got off to a good start at Farnham's Memorial Ground and lead 1-0 at the break through a Graham Townsend goal. David Hancock added a second for Camberley to wrap up a 2-0 win.

Saturday, February 25th 2006

A first half hat-trick from John Frendo helped league leaders Ware clinch the points at Krooner Park. Camberley gave as good as they got against the league leaders in the first half with goals from Koo Dumbuya and Adam Galvin seeing the half time score at 3-2. Chris Ellerbeck added a fourth for the visitors to secure the points Report

The Reserves came up against a strong Tonbridge Angels side. Two goals in each half saw the hosts win comfortably by a 4-0 scoreline. Bottom side Godalming Town also lost leaving them 4 points adrift of us but with three games in hand

Monday, February 20th 2006

Some controversial decision cost Camberley's Allied Counties side dear at Alton as three players and the Assistant Manager Alan Kennedy were give their marching orders as Camberley slumped to a 5-1 defeat. Chris Foster, the present reserve team keeper, played up front for the Under 18's as we struggled to field a side. Foster scored the Camberley goal

Sunday, February 19th 2006

Camberley's ground improvement scheme continues to progress with the construction of a new turnstile entrance to the ground. This should hopefully be completed within the next fortnight. The standing area at the railway end has also been extended with concrete being laid. A second level of terracing is to be added in the very near futute

Saturday, February 18th 2006

Mitch While hit his first hat-trick for the first team today as Camberley secured their first win of 2006 against local rivals Egham Town. Camberley were rewarded for good start when Mitch While volleyed home Dan Ker's cross after 12 minutes. Mitch added his and Camberley's second on 39 minutes from close range. After a couple of further chances, Mitch completed his hat-trick, running onto another Ker pass to clinically slot home with 9 minutes remaining. It was the first hat-trick by a Camberley player since since Robbie Burns hat-trick against Clapton on 24th February 2004. Report

Thursday, February 16th 2006

The game scheduled for this evening for the Allied Counties side at AFC Newbury was called off this evening due to a damaged pitch.

Monday, February 13th 2006

The Allied counties squad suffered a big defeat at Alton on Monday losing 5-1. Some overly strict refereeing decisions saw three Camberley players and assistant manager Alan Kennedy receive their marching orders by an unapproachable referee. Camberley struggled to put a team out and had just eleven players including reserve team keeper Chris Foster playing at centre forward. Chris marked the occasion by scoring the Camberley goal.

Saturday, February 11th 2006

Camberley went close to their first away win of the season when they were held to a 0-0 draw at Hertford Town. Both sides had the chances to win the game. Camberley went closest, having a goal disallowed after 31 minutes when Mitch While forced the ball home but a free kick was awarded the other way.

The Reserves also picked up a point in a fine draw with AFC Wimbledon. After a goal less first half, Luke Pidgen gave the visitors the lead on 61 minutes but Camberley battled back to level the scores through Kevin Arnold with ten minutes of the game remaining.

Wednesday, February 8th 2006

The Under 18's secured their first win of 2006 with a 2-0 win at Hungerford Town. One Camberley scored the game looked as if it was going to go just one way. Jay Benskin scored the first goal, his first since the pre-season Arsenal tournament. Mark Massouh made sure of the Camberley victory with the second goal. The win puts Camberley back into 6th place in the table

Saturday, February 4th 2006

Camberley are still looking for their first win of 2006 following defeat at the Old Spotted Dog  ground against Clapton. The 2:00 kick off due to Clapton not having an up to date floodlight certificate was obviously not to Camberley's liking as the home side ran out 3-0 winners. Camberley also missed a penalty.

It was a similar story for the reserves who after a good first half performance which saw them go in trailing by one goal at the break. Two goals in quick succession in the second half, one of which looked suspiciously offside but not picked up by the officials, saw Walton Casuals take all three points with a 3-0 win

Wednesday, February 1st 2006

The Under 18's went into this game with high hopes of gaining their first win of 2006 but played one of their poorest performances of the season to crash to an Ash side that features a number of players who played for Camberley last season. Camberley were three down at half time and conceded a fourth early in the second half before David Hancock scored a consolation.

Saturday, January 28th 2006

Once again Camberley went close to gaining points but were left with nothing. Barry Brosnan gave the visitors, Chalfont St Peter the lead just on the half hour mark. Camberley were level a minute later with  fine strike from Chris Shearer. The match was won on the hour from the penalty spot by Brosnan after keeper Kobina Anaman had brought him down in the penalty area. One highlight for Town was the return to action of Mitch While who got through a full 90 minutes without any problems after only recently returning to training

An excellent performance and a great result for the Reserves today. The lads made the journey to Croydon Athletic's ground to take on AFC Wimbledon's reserves and came away with a well earned point following a 0-0 draw

Saturday, January 21st 2006

In one of only three matches played in the division today, Camberley returned from the Croydon arena with their first away point of the season after putting in a good performance. Paul Dadson scoring the important Camberley goal in a game that could have gone either way. Further details to follow.

Camberley's Reserves were not as fortunate as the first XI. They too put in a good performance and looked to be on the way to a good point but conceded a late goal to lose the game to Epsom & Ewell 2-1. Goalscorer to follow.

Thursday, January 19th 2006

Two bits of good news for Camberley today. Koo Dumbuya has confirmed the loan signing of the experienced Wayne Noad from Kingstonian, initially for a month, and hopes to draft him into the side for Saturday's match at Croydon. Wayne has previous experience from a number of local clubs including Fleet Town and Cove. Also returning to light training this evening is striker Mitch While who has been missing from the Camberley line-up since the opening day of the season with a heart problem.

Wednesday, January 18th 2006

The search for a first win of 2006 for any of the three major Camberley sides goes on as the Under 18's were beaten at home this evening by local rivals Bracknell Town. A goal in each half by Ramos saw Bracknell Town clinch a 2-0 win to remain in third. We also heard this evening that Camberley are to be awarded the three points for the cancelled game at AFC Newbury before Christmas due to the manner of the postponement.

Tuesday, January 17th 2006

The Krooner's should have booked their place in the third round of the Aldershot Senior Cup this evening but effectively committed suicide as they lost a three goal lead in the final 15 minutes to lose 4-3 at home to Bentley Athletic. Martyn Williams scored a goal in each half and Karol Derewenko scored an early second half goal to give Camberley a 3-0 lead. Lapse defending saw Bentley haul the score back to 3-2 when Chris Shearer and Karol Derewenko were both sent off for over protesting about the second Bentley goal. Nine man Camberley then conceded two goals in the final eight minutes to hand Bentley a place in the next round.

Saturday, January 14th 2006

Camberley are still looking for their first win of 2006 following another narrow 1-0 defeat, this time at Edgware. Edgware's leading scorer Stuart Blackburne scored the only goal of the game. With results not going our way we are now four points adrift at the bottom of the table.

The reserves also suffered defeat at home to Tonbridge Angels. Early goals were conceded immediately putting us under pressure. The lads put in an improved performance in the second half but Tonbridge went home with all three points following a 5-1 win.

Wednesday, January 11th 2006

Camberley's Under 18's suffered their second defeat in a row when that traveled to Thatcham Town this evening. Camberley put in a decent display but went down narrowly 2-1. Daryll Hetzel, who has come up through the youth levels for Camberley, scored his first goal for the Allied Counties side but it was not enough as goals from Edwards and Townson secured a win for the home side.

Tuesday, January 10th 2006

After a couple of disappointing results, Koo Dumbuya took the opportunity of experimenting with a friendly against Ryman Division One side Molesey. The match ended up with Molesey registering a 1-0 victory with Bayada scoring the winner in the 65th minute.

Saturday, January 7th 2006

In a game that was vital to both sides, Wembley played the better of the two sides on the day and secured all three points with a 3-1 win. Disaster struck for Camberley after just 9 minutes when Chris Partridge sliced a clearance over the head of keeper Chris Foster to give the away side the lead and Stephen Augustine added a second before the break. Camberley looked much the livelier side in the second half and deserved to pull a goal back through Paul Dadson who was making his 100th Camberley appearance. Camberley kicked off 2006 and the same way they ended 2005 ... with a draw. Both teams were looking for a win to move them away from the bottom few places in the table but neither got what they wanted. Both sides had chances. Camberley went close on a couple of occasions through Sam Rafique and Epsom had two chances from Pritchard which both went narrowly wide of the post but both sides had to make do with a 0-0 draw
