Weakened by the call up of four players to the first team squad in the morning, Camberley put in a battling performance against Leatherhead. The first half was very even. The second half saw Leatherhead up their game and take the lead on 74 minutes and then extend it from the penalty spot on 82 minutes. Camberley then came to life and had the better of the game, pulling a goal back on 87 minutes through the faintest of touches from Ben Kator  .

Soon after Camberley found themselves in the lead when Jack Wilson fired a 20 yard shot through a crowd of players. Slough came back at Camberley and levelled just before the half time break. Camberley had the better of the opening stages of the second half but were caught on the counter attack to go 3-2 down. With 20 minutes to go Slough extended the lead but back came Camberley. Jake Mead go his second of the night to make to 3-4 and inside the final ten minutes a 25 yard effort form George Geoghan went in off the underside of the crossbar to level things. Camberley had a penalty claim turned down and Slough had a clearance off the line and it then looked as if it would finish all square but in the sixth minute of stoppage time Slough clinched all three points when the offside trap was beaten adn the shot converted as the Camberley defence appealed for offside.   .

CAMBERLEY TOWN (2) 7 COLLIERS WOOD UNITED (1) 1 : Cherry Red Records Combined Counties League Premier Division
The big results keep on coming as this time Camberley hit seven. It was Colliers Wood who opened the scoring on 17 minutes through a well taken goal from their leading scorer Mario Embalo. It took Camberley ten minutes to level the scores when Matt Griffiths scrambled the ball home. Soon after, Camberley found themselves in from with Matt Griffiths (pictured near left) finding the next again. Just before the half time break, Camberley were reduced to 10 men when Andrew Grace was sent off for a dangerous tackle. It was expected that Colliers Wood would try to take advantage of the extra man but from the moment the James Mepham made it 3-1 on 56 minutes the fight was knocked out of Colliers Wood. Martin Girling (pictured far left) then struck twice in the space of 5 minutes with 20 left on the clock to make it 5-1. we then had to wait to stoppage time to complete the scoring. In the first minute of stoppage time Matt Griffiths completed his hat-trick and two minutes later Martin Girling followed suit with his first hat-trick of the season.

CAMBERLEY TOWN ACL U-18's (1) 2 MAIDENHEAD U-18's (0) 1 : Nescafe Allied Counties League Premier Division
An excellent win for the Allied Counties side that have struggled for points this season. Maidenhead arrived needing a win to take them to the top of the table. The first half was evenly contested but just before the half time break, Camberley broke the deadlock when Jon Burch headed home Jack Wilson's cross. Maidenhead came out for the second half in a more attacking mood and piled on the pressure and only some fine saves from Sam Burge in the Camberley goal kept the scores level. On the hour mark a Ryan Bell corner found the head of Jon Burch and he found the net for his and Camberley's second. Shortly after, Maidenhead United pulled a goal back from the penalty spot and piled on the pressure again but some intellegent defending meant Camberley held on for the win which takes the lads level on points with Wokingham & Emmbrook.

MOLESEY (3) 4 CAMBERLEY TOWN (0) 0 : Cherry Red Records Combined Counties League Premier Division
"
A bad day at the office" is the best way to describe the match. Darius Heravi opened the scoring for the hosts after a lack of communication saw the defence leave the ball for goalkeeper Stuart Norman who in turn gave the impression that he thought the defence were going to deal with it. As it happens, no-one picked up the run of Heravi and he got to the ball first to slot the ball home. Soon after, Camberley found themselves 2-0 down when a corner was glanced home by Emmanuel Quarshie. Quarshie was to add a fortunate third just before the half time break when his shot from outside the penalty area hit a bobble just in front of Stuart Norman as he dived for the ball and bounced up over him and in. Molesey completed the scoring in the second half from another set peice when Quarshie diverted the ball home for his hat-trick

CAMBERLEY TOWN RYL U-18's (1) 3 BRACKNELL TOWN ACLU-18's (1) 3 : Friendly
An entertaining friendly which saw both sides get vital practice in before the league start up again following the Christmas break. Bracknell took the lead after 10 minutes when a glancing header from a near post corner saw the ball dip into the net at the back post. Camberley had the better of the play and got an equaliser five minutes before the half time break when a Luke Neller free kick beat everyone to dip over the keeper and in. Camberley took the lead ten minutes into the second half when Kyle Wilkie jinked his way through a couple of challenges before calmly slotting the ball home. The lead lasted just a couple of minutes as Bracknell hit the equaliser. Bracknell forced their way back in front, midway through the second half but Camberley had the last laugh when A Stillman prodded home to makr the final score 3-3 .

CAMBERLEY TOWN (3) 6 FARNHAM TOWN (0) 0 : Cherry Red Records Combined Counties League Premier Division
Camberley started off the new year with a resounding victory over Farnham Town with Matt Griffiths (left) striking four of the goals. Matt Griffiths hit the first of his goals after 16 minutes when the ball was threaded through to him inside the right edge of the penalty area and he calmly slotted it low, past the advancing keeper. On 26 minutes he added his and Camberley's second with a quality, curling finish into the top right hand corner from the edge of the penalty area. Griffiths completed a first half hat-trick after Adam Cornell tuned his marker and was tripped inside the penalty area. Griffiths stepped up to slot the ball into the bottom right hand corner. Camberley were awarded another penalty on 56 minutes and again Adam Cornell was tripped after he tried to create space for a shot. Once again Matt Griffiths stepped up to fire home his and Camberley's fourth. Two minutes later Darren Wilson, the Farnham captain, who was booked for the challenge which resulted in the fourth goal committed another foul on Adam Cornell and received his marching orders. With Farnham now down to ten men, Matt went looking for a fifth and on 74 minutes he tried to squeeze his way between two defenders. The ball broke loose and Ben Hill drove home from 15 yards out to make it 5-0. The scoring was completed on 84 minutes when Nick Cavey crossed for Martin Girling to side foot home from six yards.

COVE (1) 5 CAMBERLEY TOWN (3) 5 : Cherry Red Records Combined Counties League Premier Division
An extraordinary result from an entertaining local derby. The hosts, Cove, got off to a good start, taking the lead after just 3 minutes but Camberley hit back with Rob Carrick levelling the scores just after the 15 minute mark. Camberley then pressed on and took control of the game. Despite missing a penalty and hitting the crossbar, Camberley took the lead on 28 minutes when Matt Griffiths struck and three minutes later Martin Girling made it 3-1. To Cove's credit they came roaring back in the second half, making it 2-3 on 53 minutes. Just after the hour the game was turned on its head with two goals in three minutes. An excellent strike levelling things then a penalty to put them in the lead. Camberley then hit back themselves levelling the scores on 71 minutes through a second goal of the game from Matt Griffiths. Camberley looked to have win the match with Louis Hibberts' 83rd minute goal but with two minutes left on the clock Cove grabbed themselves an equaliser and a point.

CAMBERLEY TOWN (1) 1 CHESSINGTON & HOOK UNITED (0) 1 : Cherry Red Records Combined Counties League Premier Division
Camberley will probably consider this as two points dropped instead of one gained as Chessington & Hook fought back to earn a draw at Krooner Park. Camberley had the better of the chances in the first half and could have gone in three up but for some fine saves from the visiting keeper. Camberley finally got the break through in the last minute of the first half when Paul Andrews slid the ball home from an Adam Cornell flick on. The missed chances were to cost Camberley as with ten minutes from the end, former Camberley player Robbie Burns fired home the equaliser. In fact Chessington & Hook could have clinched victory in the final few minutes with two good chances, but at the end of the day a draw was probably the right result.

RAYNES PARK VALE (1) 1 CAMBERLEY TOWN (4) 7 : Cherry Red Records Combined Counties League Premier Division
Over recent seasons we have had some close matches and found it difficult to win at Raynes Park but this weekend we followed up the seven we put past Raynes Park Vale at Krooner last season with another seven at their ground this season. The scoring started on 10 minutes with Adam Cornell (left) scoring. Martin Girling was on hand on 15th minute to make it two and three minutes later an excellent move from Camberley saw Matt Griffiths make it 3-0. Another fine build up saw Matt Griffiths score again to make it 4-0 on the half hour. Just on half time Hickford pulled a goal back for Raynes Park Vale. The four goal margin was regained on 54 minutes when Adam Cornell added his second and he completed his hat-trick on 59 minutes to make it 6-1. The final goal came in the 89th minute when Dale Webb knocked the ball goalwards and Rob Carrick made sure as the ball crossed the line.

Sandhurst's resistance was finally worn down at Bottom Meadow to see Camberley qualify for the last eight of the Grant McLellan Cup. Sandhurst gave as good as they got in the first half but it was Camberley who had the better of the chances and had to make do with just a Dan Spurr goal to show for their efforts at the half time break. Resistance was finally worn down in the 82nd minute when Kyle Wilkie slotted home Camberley's second to give us some breathing space. Two minutes later the lead was extended to three with a Sam Slater strike and the scoring was completed in stoppage time with a George Geoghan goal.

Camberley went out of the Lucas Fettes Cup, otherwise known as the Ryman Youth League Cup at the hands of Hayes & Yeading this evening. Camberley had the better of the opening exchanges, getting the ball in the back of the net after 6 minutes only to see the goal disallowed. Two minutes later Camberley were awarded a penalty that George Goeghan comfortably converted. The lead lasted just three minutes as Bassele levelled the scores for Hayes & Yeading. Both sides went looking for further goals but neither managed it until 10 minutes into the second half when Connor McMillan put Camberley back in front. The game was turned on its head in the space of two minutes when on 65 minutes Hayes & Yeading levelled and a minute later, took the lead with both goals coming from Harriott. CAMBERLEY TOWN RYL U-18's (3) 4 NORTHWOOD U-18's (0) 0  : Ryman Youth League West Division
Camberley's good form in this Division continued this evening with a third win in a row and a 4-0 win over Northwood. Camberley got off to a good start with Connor McMillan scoring inside the opening quarter of an hour. By half time Camberley had extended the lead to 3-0 with Connor McMillan securing his second hat-trick in two matches. Camberley were aided by the away side who had a player sent off mid way through the half. Camberley had a number of chances to extend the lead further but to Northwood's credit they kept plugging away and it was hardly noticeable that they were a man short for most of the game. Camberley finally got a fourth goal with around ten minutes remaining. Kyle Wilkie completing the scoring from six yards out.

WEMBLEY (0) 0 CAMBERLEY TOWN (1) 2 : Cherry Red Records Combined Counties League Premier Division
Camberley made it four wins in a row with a fine win at Wembley. It was going to be a tough match and so it proved. Camberley stared well and got the lead after 18 minutes when Matt Griffiths converted his first chance on goal. There was little between the two sides but Camberley just about deserved a be a goal ahead at the break. The second half saw Wembley come at Camberley looking for an equaliser and put on a lot of pressure but Camberley got the break on 87 minutes when Matt Griffiths secured the points with his and Camberley's second goal.

CAMBERLEY TOWN RESERVES (0) 2 THREE BRIDGES RESERVES (1) 1 : Suburban League Premier 'B' Division
Camberley got back to winning ways with a workmanlike performance against Three Bridges. Three Bridges played some good football and deservedly went in the break a goal ahead. Camberley hit back in the second half and got an equaliser when Kyle Wilkie pounced on a loose ball in the penalty area to slot home his first Reserve team goal just after the hour mark. With about fifteen minutes, quick thinking from Luke Taylor saw him run into open space as Camberley were awarded a throw-in. It was quickly taken and Taylor, who could not be offside from a throw in advanced and lobbed the ball over the keeper to score. With the four main matchballs either on the factory roof or outside the perimeter of the ground, there was a debate about whether the goal should be allowed as the only remianing matchball available at that time was the orange ball (usually used when foggy or when snow is falling). As it was a designated matchball and the only one available, the goal stood.

Despite a good performance, Camberley slipped to a 3-1 defeat at top three side Uxbridge. The first half saw Uxbridge open up a 2-0 lead although could easily have been 2-2 at the half time break had we been able to convert our chances. We uppeed our performance in the second half but found ourselves going 3-0 down before James Mepham reduced the deficit after some fine work from Luke Taylor. Try as we did we were unable to claw back another before the full time whistle. .

The run of poor results for the Allied Counties side continued with a 5-1 defeat at the hands of a good Salisbury City side. Salisbury's academy side reached the semi finals of this competition before going out to Aldershot last season so we knew it would be a tough match for our youngsters. At the end of the day they proved too strong and run out comfortable winners. Goalscorer to follow.

CAMBERLEY TOWN (1) 4 MOLE VALLEY SCR (0) 0 : Cherry Red Records Combined Counties League Premier Division
Camberley were given a run for their money in the first fifteen minutes and went in 1-0 ahead after three minutes through Stacey Thripp who curled a high corner straight in at the back post. After that though, Camberley dominated. We had to wait until the 56th minute to break Mole Valley's resistance when Adam Cornell was on hand to finish a good move. Within a minute it was three when Matt Griffiths fired home from 20 yards out. Camberley put the 'icing on the cake' with six minutes remaining when Rob Carrick drilled home a low shot for number four. It could have been more but Camberley made do with four to maintain 4th place in the table.

WOKINGHAM TOWN U-18's (3) 6 CAMBERLEY TOWN ACL U-18's (0) 1  Nescafe Allied Counties League Premier Division
The result did do no justice to Camberley's performance. Camberley actually competed well against a decent Wokingham & Emmbrook side but the problem we had was too many errors at the back against a side who finished clinically and up front we lacked the penetration to force a result. Once we can tighten up at the back and get confidence in front of goal, the results should start to come. We did it against Aylesbury so we know we can do it.

CAMBERLEY TOWN RYL U-18's (1) 2 HAMPTON & RICHMOND BOROUGH U-18's (1) 1 : Ryman Youth League West Division
Camberley got their second win of the league season with a good performance against Hampton & Richmond Borough. Two goals in the space of five minutes mid way through the first half from Jake Mead (24mins) and a George Geoghan penalty (29min) put Camberley in a good position. Hampton & Richmond hit back to make it 2-1 on 37 minutes and it stayed that way until half time. The second half was pulsating with both sides looking to add goals and it was a bit of a surprise that we did not gat any but Camberley were happy to take the three points to move away from the bottom two in the table.

DORKING (0) 1 CAMBERLEY TOWN (1) 5 : Cherry Red Records Combined Counties League Premier Division
Meadowbank, home of Dorking FC has proved a happy hunting ground for Camberley over the years and it proved so again today. Camberley were gifted a goal after just 2 minutes when Adam Cornell cross was spilled and Louis Hibbert set up Matt Griffiths to tap home. Camberley could have been a couple of goals clear by the 15th minute as Adam Cornell had two chances to add to the score. Dorking hit back with some chances of their own and were unlucky not to have registered on the scoresheet - we have the woodwork to thank for that. Dorking's task was made more difficult in the second half as their keeper had to be substituted after pulling a hamstring. Soon after Louis Hibbert added Camberley's second and then the goals came thick and fast. A quarter of an hour from time Adam Cornell broke through and placed an exquisite chip over the keeper and in for 3-0. Two minutes later Dorking got on the scoresheet from the penalty spot after a trip on the right of the penalty area. Five minutes from time Camberley were also awarded a penalty which Adam Cornell dispatched for 4-1 and before the final whistle, Louis Hibbert hit his second of the day to give us a final score of 5-1.

NORTHWOOD RESERVES (1) 2 CAMBERLEY TOWN RESERVES (4) 5 : Suburban League Premier 'B' Division
A welcome return to winning ways for the Reserves following three defeats in a row. Camberley got off to a good start with Matt Barclay firing Camberley into the lead. Camberley were mentally still celebrating when within a minutes a long ball over the top of the Camberley defence was converted to make it 1-1. The lead was restored on 27 minutes when Luke Taylor provided a pin point cross for Rob Lance to chest and then volley home. Four minutes later Luke Taylor provided another fine cross, this time for Jamie Madden to loop a header over the keeper for 3-1. Northwood defensively all over the place and it resulted in a fourth goal within another two minutes when Rob Lance saw his shot parried away, but only as far as Lewis Phillips who slotted home from close range. Northwood were better in the second half and reduced the deficit to 4-2 before Camberley sealed a fine performance with a fifth goal thanks to good work from debut substitute, Chris Fox, who set up Luke Taylor for a well deserved goal .

ALTON TOWN U-18's 3 CAMBERLEY TOWN ACL U-18's 1 : Allied Counties League Cup 1st Round
A disappointing result and exit from the League Cup against South Division outfit Alton Town. Camberley decided to utilise the squad for this game, resting a number of players who had started the league matches this season and it gave a few lads a chance to shine but found Alton Town a tough nut to crack. Jake Yarranton scored his first of the season after coming off the subs bench but it proved insufficient to get Camberley back into the game. The lads will know an improvement is needed if they are to get points on the board when they take on Wokingham & Emmbrook next Wednesday.

CAMBERLEY TOWN (1) 4 EPSOM & EWELL (0) 0 : Cherry Red Records Combined Counties League Premier Division
Both sides went into this game on losing runs and lacking in confidence so something had to give. Camberley went into the game looking to get 'Orrible October' out of their system and made a good start, taking the lead after 7 minutes when Rob Carrick's shot from distance rebounded off the shoulder of Louis Hibbert and wrong-footed the keeper. It was a half of few chances for either side as Epsom & Ewell had more of the ball but did little with it in the final third. The second half saw Camberley with the slope in their favour and on 55 minutes made it 2-0 when Adam Cornell was put through to score. There was no doubt that the winless run would end after that as Camberley's confidence visibly grew and Epsom's evaporated. On 62 minutes Camberley extended the lead to three when Matt Griffiths calmly placed the ball into the bottom right hand corner from 15 or so yards and on 79 minutes Griffiths added his second and Camberley's fourth, meeting a cross from the right with a powerful header over the keeper which dipped in under the crossbar .

METROPOLITAN POLICE RESERVES (2) 5 CAMBERLEY TOWN RESERVES (0) 0 : Suburban League Premier 'B' Division
With their 1st team being without a game due to their exit from the F.A. Trophy a few weeks ago, the hosts strengthened their Reserves by fielding five 1st team regular players, which unfortunately made this a more one sided game than it should have been. The match kicked off at 1pm due to a fireworks display being held at the ground later that evening. On one of the best playing surfaces that our reserves have seen for some time, the hosts, not surprisingly, proved to strong for Camberley. Met Police opened up a two goal lead inside the first 20 minutes before Camberley had their best spell leading up to the half time break. The Police put on a fine display in the second half and added three further goals, despite Camberley putting in a decent performance themselves. 5-0 was a bit harsh on Camberley but they were up against quality opposition

Camberley should have gone into this match with confidence given Oxford City away form and due to the fact that we had recently beaten Aylesbury and played well at Maidenhead despite the result, but unfortunately we did not do ourselves justice. Oxford City were a tall team and they made their height work for them, opening up a comfortable lead by the half time break. Camberley gave as good as they got but went in 1-0 down at the break. The second half did not start well for Camberley when we were reduced to ten men when we had a player sent off for pulling back one of the Cirencester players when he was through on goal. A second goal was soon forthcomming. Camberley to their credit kept fighting and pulled a goal back to make it 2-1 but a late goal for the home side killed the game off and earned them a tie against Torquay United in the 2nd Round.

CAMBERLEY TOWN RESERVES (0) 1 OLD WILSONIANS (0) 4 : Surrey Premier Cup 1st Round
The Surrey Premier Cup is one of those competitions we never seem to do that well in and so it proved again this evening. There was nothing between the two sides in the first half with Camberley edging the goalscoring chances. It was almost as if we were still mentally in the dressing room at the start of the second half. Old Wilsonians took the lead within 90 seconds of the restart and from then on started to take control of the game. By the hour mark they had extended the lead to 2-0 and some of the Camberley legs visibly looked as if they tired. By 80 minutes the game was dead a buried as their lead had been extended to 4-0. Camberley kept the best to last, scoring the best goal of the game through Ben Acton who hit a 25 yard dipping shot over the keeper for a consolation goal with virtually the last kick of the match.

CAMBERLEY TOWN (0) 0 CROYDON (0) 2 : Cherry Red Records Combined Counties League Premier Division
A bad day at the office for Camberley as the poor run of results continued an improving Croydon side. After the improved outing at Windsor on the previous Monday it was felt that if we took the quality second half performance into this game then the poor run would end but Camberley came up with one of their poorer perfomances. It looked to be going well in the first 20 minutes as Camberley took the game to Croydon and could have been a couple of goals up but could not score and the sides went in at half time with the score a 0-0. Croydon made the break through on 50 minutes through Claudio de Almeida and when George Gledhill added a second on 71 minutes, heads seemed to drop and Croydon held on comfortably for all three points.

EASTLEIGH RESERVES (2) 4 CAMBERLEY TOWN RESERVES (0) 0 : Suburban League Cup 1st Round 2nd Leg
It was always going to be a tough ask. overhauling a 4-1 deficit away from home and after losing a number of players to first team call ups and so it proved. As with the first match, Eastleigh proved too strong on their own patch scoring twice in each half to win 4-0 on what was an excellent playing surface. The lads showed spirit and character which bodes well for the difficult run of fixtures we have in the next few weeks.

MAIDENHEAD UNITED U-18's (1) 4 CAMBERLEY TOWN ACL U-18's (0) 1 : Nescafe Allied Counties League Premier Division
Nothing much between the two sides in the first half but the hosts found themselves a goal up, scoring in the 40th minute with a header from a set peice. Camberley almost equalised immediately but Jack Wilson was denied by a last ditch tackle. Defensive errors early in the second half cost Camberley dear as Maidenhead added two quick goals before the hour mark to effectively put the game beyond reach. Camberley kept going and pulled a goal back through Callum Gallocker. Camberley pressured for another goal but conceded a fourth in the dying moments.

WINDSOR (0) 2 CAMBERLEY TOWN (0) 0 : Cherry Red Records Combined Counties League Premier Division
The performance was the best we have seen this month. The main talking point of the first half though was the sending off of Louis Hibbert who went for a ball, won it cleanly. His trailing leg made contact with a Windsor player who had come in from the side after the ball had started rolling away. The referee produced a straight red for what was at most a booking. Unfortunately for Camberley, it was one of those decisions that spoils a game as it immediately put us on the back foot. Windsor struck twice in the opening five minutes of the second half to seal the points. The first a well taken goal and the second from the spot for a penalty naively give away by Stuart Norman. For the remainder of the match we gave as good as we got despite being a man light, hitting the woodwork twice .

KINGSTONIAN U-18's (0) 4 CAMBERLEY TOWN RYL U-18's (0) 0 : Surrey Youth Cup 1st Round
Camberley's Ryman Youth League side made their exit from the Surrey Cup at the hands of a very strong Kingstonian side. According to observers, we played quite well but Kingstonian were outstanding. As with the first team, we did not have a good day with the officials, having five or six players booked and one sent off in a game that was by no means rough or dirty. Camberley still have their F.A. Yputh Cup match at Cirencester to look forward too which will be next Wednesday, November 2nd.

CAMBERLEY TOWN (0) 1 LITTLEHAMPTON TOWN (0) 2 : F.A. Carlsberg Vase 1st Round (after extra time, FT 1-1)
Camberley's poor run of results continued with an exit from the F.A. Vase. Camberley created the better chances throughout the match but could not convert one until the 74th minute when Martin Girling headed home a cross from Adam Cornell. The lead lasted just five minutes when Gerry Manning fired in off the post to level things and ultimately, take the match into extra time. The match was won in the second half of extra time when Danny Hand beat keeper Stuart Norman to the ball and lob home the winner.

NORTH GREENFORD UNITED RESERVES (0) 0 CAMBERLEY TOWN RESERVES (3) 6 : Suburban League Premier 'B' Division
The Reserves went to North Greenford looking for some revenge after they did the double over us last season, and how they got it. The game got off to a bizarre start with a North Greenford defender over hitting a back pass back to his goalkeeper from the right hand edge of the penalty area to give Camberley the lead after just 19 seconds. Camberley were even more in control when they added a second on 7 minutes when Paul Dadson toe poked home from 6 yards out. Another close range goal, this time from Rob Lance made it 3-0 after just 14 minutes. Camberley continued to dominate to the half time break but were unable to score again. North Greenford got frustrated in the second half and started to kick out, resulting in three bookings. Camberley kept their cool and hit back with more goals. On the hour Keaton Landess put Rob Lance through to score his second of the match and four minutes after Rob Carrick, who had set up the second ad third goals, got on the scoresheet himself with a well judged lob. We had to wait until the 86th minute for the final goal when Keaton Landess flicked the ball on for Jamie Madden to beat the keeper.

CAMBERLEY TOWN ACL U-18's (0) 2 AYLESBURY (1) 1 : Allied Counties League Premier Division
Camberley finally got the win their performances so far this season have deserved. Aylesbury started the better of the two sides and opened the scoring just after the quarter hour mark, but Camberley hit back in the second half striking twice to give Camberley the win. Despite the victory Camberley remain bottom of the table on goal difference .

HORLEY TOWN 4 CAMBERLEY TOWN 3 : Surrey Senior Cup 1st Round (after extra time)
Camberley made their exit from this competition after extra time. Camberley were so close to wining the match after twice going behind at 1-0 and again at 2-1. Twice Camberley fought back to level and then with just over 10 minutes to go we took the lead. In the second minute of stoppage time, Horley levelled the scores to take the match into extra-time. In the early minutes of the second half of extra time, Horley took the lead again and this time did not relinquish it.

LEATHERHEAD U-18's (0) 2 CAMBERLEY TOWN (1) 3 : FA Youth Cup 3rd Qualifying Round
Camberley produced an excellent performance to ear themselves a spot in the F.A Youth Cup 1st Round proper and a match at Cirencester Town. Kyle Wilkie gave Camberley the lead which was held until half time. Leatherhead came back at Camberley with two second half goals but a goal from Connor McMillan saw the match finish 2-2 after 90 minutes. Extra time followed and the match looked set to go to penalties until Sam Slater popped up to hit the winner for Camberley with just three minutes left on the clock.

SOUTH PARK (1) 2 CAMBERLEY TOWN (0) 1 : Cherry Red Records Combined Counties League Premier Division
A better performance for Camberley against a side who are becoming increasingly difficult to beat at home. South PArk took the lead on 25 minutes when Burgess was tripped in the penalty area. Keiran Lavery slotted home the penalty kick. Camberley had their best period of the match at the start of the second half creating two good chances that needed last ditch clearances before Matt Griffith deservedly got Camberley back on level terms on 57 minutes. South Park's response was immediate, forcing a corner following a penalty appeal. The corner was not cleared and Ward struck a 25 yard effort to restore the lead for the hosts. Camberley had a header wide from 10 yards and a shot from a narrow angle parried away in search of an equaliser but South Park held out to inflict Camberley's third defeat in four matches .

CAMBERLEY TOWN RESERVES (0) 0 MERSTHAM RESERVES (0) 0 : Suburban League Premier 'B' Division

CAMBERLEY TOWN (0) 0 BANSTEAD ATHLETIC (0) 0 : Cherry Red Records Combined Counties League Premier Division
Camberley's worrying lack of form at present, cost us two more points, as we failed to score against a struggling Banstead Athletic. It was Camberley's poorest performance of the season at Krooner Park as Banstead came for a point and got it. Once again the tactic of playing narrow and tucking in saw the Banstead defence close ranks when Camberley had the ball. James Mepham, Luke Taylor and Brett Wickens were introduced into the fray as Camberley looked to break Banstead down but to no avail.

FARNBOROUGH ACL U-18's (2) 5 CAMBERLEY TOWN (0) 1 : Cherry Red Records Combined Counties League Premier Division
Camberley suffered their third defeat in a row as they met another of the top sides in the Allied Counties Premier Division. Camberley found themselves a couple of goals behind at the break and despite a goal from Matt Groves, Farnborough always looked be the favourites to win the match. Camberley's task was made even harder when they had a player sent off mid way through the second half. Farnborough went on to add three more goals to clinch the match 5-1 .

CAMBERLEY TOWN (0) 0 HORLEY TOWN (0) 1 : Cherry Red Records Combined Counties League Premier Division
Horley Town became the first team to prevent Camberley from scoring i any match this season as they took all three points and second place in the table away from Camberley. Camberley had the better of the first half in what, for the neutral, was an entertaining match. Unfortunately the second half did not match up to the first. In the second half Camberley had the better of the possession but struggled to find their way through a well organised Horley defence. Horley grabbed the lead midway through the second half with a well place glancing header from Kyle Hough which proved to be the winner. Camberley were playing very narrow and only started using the width of the pitch in the final ten minutes but it was too little too late.

CRAWLEY DOWN RESERVES (2) 5 CAMBERLEY TOWN RESERVES (0) 0 : Suburban League Premier 'B' Division
The bad day at the office continued with the reserves going down to a heavy defeat at the hands of a side they beat 4-2 at home just a few weeks before. Camberley were a goal behind in the opening ten minutes through Dean Coomber and by the 20th minute it was two when Andy Goodwin scored from 6 yards. Camberley posed a threat from counter attacks but their job became even harder when we were reduced to the men in the 60th minute. The resulting free kick from Steve Major made it 3-0 to the hosts. Andy Goodwin and Sam Cane made it five as the hosts took advantage of the extra man .

CAMBERLEY TOWN ACL U-18's (0) 3 WHITEHAWK U-18's (1) 2 : FA Youth Cup 2nd Qualifying Round (after extra time FT 2-2)
Camberley started this match slowly which allowed Whitehawk to get the upper hand early and it was no surprise when the visitors took the lead. Whitehawk were the better of the two sides in the first half and went in 1-0 ahead at the break. The half time team talk certainly did the trick for Camberley as they came out a different side and took the game to the visitors and within six minute Sam Slater had fired Camberley level. Whitehawk took the set back in their stride and retook the lead on the hour mark. Camberley continued to push on and with eight minutes to go Sam Slater struck again to level things. Slater almost hit his hat-trick and to win the game in the final minute but saw his shot cannon back off the base of the post. In stoppage time Whitehawk effectively shot themselves in the foot when they had a player sent off for a second bookable offence. Another of the players then said something offensive towards the referee and he too was given his marching orders. Up against 9 men for 30 minutes extra time, Camberley took the lead for the first time on the night on 109 minutes when Jon Burch forced the ball home from a corner. That knocked the fight out of Whitehawk but Camberley made hard work of seeing the game out, as they tried to force a fourth goal rather than keeping possession and taking advantage of the extra two men. The win sees Camberley through to play Leatherhead away in the next round

EGHAM TOWN (2) 3 CAMBERLEY TOWN (1) 1 : Cherry Red Records Combined Counties League Premier Division
Following the good result at Guildford seven days previously, this came as a bit of a disappointment as Camberley surrendered their unbeaten away record. Egham took the game to Camberley from the start and created a couple of good chances before Camberley had their first through James Mepham. Just as it looked as if Camberley may start to get the upper hand, Egham took the lead through Tom Hedges on 24 minutes. Camberley hit back to level the scores on 37 minutes when Louis Hibbert glanced a header in off the post but within five minutes, Egham were back in front thanks to a Dale Marvell penalty following Michael Blount's handball in the penalty area. Egham secured the win half way through the second half when Hedges struck his second of the match.

CAMBERLEY TOWN RESERVES (1) 3 NORTHWOOD RESERVES (1) 1 : Suburban League Premier 'B' Division
The Reserves registered their second win on the trot with a victory over Northwood at Krooner Park this weekend. Camberley did not get off to a good start, going behind after 4 minutes when Luke Taylor inadvertently diverted the ball into his own net. Things started to go Camberley's way on 33minutes when Northwood had a player sent off for verbally abusing the referee having been cautioned. Six minutes later, Camberley took advantage of the extra man when Rob Carrick levelled the scores through a looping header. The second half saw a disjointed performance from both sides but Camberley did enough to win the match. On 84 minutes, Jay Warden volley home from a Rob Lance corner to put Camberley ahead and Matt Barclay made the game safe with the third in the dying moments.

It is with regret that we have to announce that over the past 48 hours, Paul Miles, the joint first team manager, has decided to step down with immediate effect due to the pressures of work. We hope Paul finds time to come back into football in the near future, either in a management or coaching role, and we wish him the best of success in whatever he chooses to do. Darren Barnard will continue run the first team, starting with this weekend's fixture at Egham Town.

CAMBERLEY TOWN (0) 1 BRITISH ARMY NATIONAL XI (0) 0 : Friendly
The players not used in the Aldershot Cup match 24 hours earlier were in action for the prestigious friendly against the British Army who used the match as a trial for players to make the squad for the Combined Services Cup competition. Both sides were evenly match and it was no surprise that the first half finished goal less. The match was eventually decided with a free kick of the highest quality from Rob Carrick. From just outside the penalty area Rob curled the free kick over the wall and saw it dip right into the top left hand corner of the net, beyond the reach of the army keeper.

FLEET SPURS (2) 2 CAMBERLEY TOWN (0) 2 : Aldershot Senior Cup 1st Round - Lost 4-2 on penalties after extra time
Camberley made a disappointing exit from the Aldershot Senior Cup at the first hurdle. With this match and the prestigious friendly against the Army tomorrow it was decided that the matches would be covered by two evenly balanced sides so their was a mixture of 1st and Reserve squad players on show. If was felt that the squad was strong enough to win the tie but Camberley got off to a bad start, going 1-0 down inside the opening quarter of an hour and then 2-0 down with a couple of minutes to the half time break. The half time team talk had the desired effect as Camberley were level inside the opening five minutes of the second half, firstly through James Mepham and the a Joe Paris penalty after Mepham had been tripped. Camberley though could not maintain the momentum and the second half finished all square. Camberley looked the better of the two sides following the introduction of the substitutes but it was Fleet Spurs who had the best chance of winning the game in extra time when they were awarded a penalty but Chris Foster pulled off a great save. James Mepham had the ball in the back of the net with moments to go but the goal was ruled out for offside. So to the lottery of a penalty shoot out which Fleet Spurs clinched 4-2.

GUILDFORD CITY (0) 1 CAMBERLEY TOWN (0) 1 : Cherry Red Records Combined Counties League Premier Division
The battle of the top two finished all square and therefore seeing two 100% records bite the dust. Guildford went into the match with a 100% home record and Camberley with a 100% away record so it was almost destined to finish all square. The first half saw Guildford enjoy more of the possession but chances were even but neither side could affect the scoreline. That all changed three minutes into the second half when Matt Griffiths fed the ball through for Adam Cornell to control, create a bit of space and fire the ball into the back of the net. The lead did not last long as two minutes later Austin Gatcheru  received the ball on the left edge of the Camberley penalty area and curled a excellent shot past Stuart Norman and just inside the post to level the scores. Both sides had chances to win the game but two fine save's, one form each keeper made sure the match finished all square.
.
CAMBERLEY TOWN RESERVES (1) 4 CRAWLEY DOWN RESERVES (1) 2 : Suburban League Premier 'B' Division
The Reserves got back to winning ways with a good win over Crawley Down. Camberley took the lead on 11 minutes from the penalty spot following a handball. Matt Barclay stepped up to confidently convert. Camberley then started to play with some confidence but it was Crawley Down who struck next on 20 minutes with a looping header from a corner to make it 1-1 and that's how it stood at the break. The second half saw Camberley step up the performance and on 51 minutes Joe Paris provided the cross for Matt Barclay to head home his and Camberley's second. Six minutes later Matt Barclay nearly made it a hat-trick but his shot was blocked and inadvertently steered past the keeper for an own goal. Unfortunately Camberley did not push home the advantage and within a minute, Crawley Down pulled it back to 3-2 when a lapse in concentration allowed a goal from an unmarked player from close range. A lapse in concentration at the other end allowed Camberley to seal the win on 85 minutes when keeper and defender got in a mix up to allow Joe Paris to pass the ball into an empty net for 4-2

CAMBERLEY TOWN (1) 2 FARNHAM TOWN (1) 3 : after extra time, FT 2-2 : El Records Premier Challenge Cup 1st Round
Darren and Paul decided to rest the majority of the team they expect to field against Guildford City at the weekend and it gave a chance for others to force their way into the team. In an even match it was Farnham who took the lead on 16 minutes when former Ash midfielder Ross Millard glanced a header past Norman i the Camberley goal. Camberley hit back and levelled the scores on 36 minutes when Ben Hill slid a shot under the Farnham keeper following good work from Michael Smith. Farnham regained the lead with just three minutes to go when Nev Tuck slotted in from close range. Camberley did not give up and pressed for an equaliser that came in stoppage time when substitute Michael Siemak drilled a low dot into the bottom right hand corner of the net. Farnham though got the winner on 109 minutes with an excellent run and chip over the keeper by Jack Dillon.

Some time between the hours of 7pm and 10pm this evening, the Krooner Park Clubhouse was broken into. The thieves got into the ground via the fence running down the Bridge Road side of the ground, cut the phone line and broke to the clubhouse via the doors near the changing rooms. They stole the big LCD TV from the bar area, a fair amount of bar stock. An attempt was made to get into the fruit machine but failed but they did break into the games machine and then lifted a half ton safe containing bar floats and the weekend takings. Once the losses and the repair and replacement costs are taken into consideration it could cost the club around £5000. From this point onwards new security measures are being put in place and NO CASH will be left at the club overnight.

MOLE VALLEY SCR (1) 2 CAMBERLEY TOWN (2) 4 : Cherry Red Records Combined Counties League Premier Division
With Guildford City dropping two points with their 3-3 draw at Wembley, Camberley went top of the table with a 4-2 win at Cobham against Mole Valley SCR. The Mole Valley performance suggests that they will not stay bottom of the table for long, if they can get their defence sorted out. Camberley took the lead on 18 minutes when Siemak and Blount went in for a header together which Blount met first to head home Camberley continued to have the better of the play and added a second when Martin Girling met Matt Griffith's cross to score on 40 minutes. Three minutes later Mole Valley forced their way back into the match as Liam Holden broke through Camberley's offside trap to round the keeper an slot the ball into the net. Camberley restored the two goal advantage with a minute of the second half gone. Martin Girling floated a free kick into the penalty area which came off a couple of players before finding its way into the bottom corner of the net. It is at present down as an own goal. Once again Mole Valley fought back with James Brown lobbing the ball over Stuart Norman for 3-2 but the result was made safe when Camberley added a fourth with substitute Nick Cavey crossing for Adam Cornell to slot into an empty net. Camberley should have had a fifth in stoppage time when Nick Cavey slotted home but it was disallowed for offiside.

SANDHURST TOWN (1) 2 CAMBERLEY TOWN (1) 3 : Cherry Red Records Combined Counties League Premier Division
Camberley got back to winning ways with a league win at Sandhurst Town this evening which keeps the pressure on Guildford City who are now just a single point clear at the top of the table. Any thoughts that manager-less Sandhurst would be any easy win were dispelled very quickly as the home side gave as good as they got in the first half and took the lead with as well placed header from Vinnie Bond with five minutes remaining of the first half. Camberley though hit back and levelled three minutes later when Adam Cornell (left) pounced onto a poor back pass to slot home the equaliser. Camberley started the better of the second half and took the lead in the 51st minute with another great strike from Adam Cornell. Camberley extended the lead to 3-1 on 71 minutes when Matt Griffiths saw his header hit the crossbar and bounce down on the goal line. Michael Smith made sure from close range with a simple tap-in. Sandhurst did not give up and were awarded a penalty in the 81st minute that Vinnie Bond converted. That gave the hosts confidence and for the final 10 minutes Sandhurst laid siege on the Camberley goal but the defence held firm but it did a superb save in the final few seconds from Stuart Norman to deny Sandhurst a point.

Camberley made their exit from the F.A. Cup at Bognor Regis after conceding four goals in the second half to go down 5-1. Camberley started brightly, creating two chances through James Mepham and Martin Girling before the hosts had their first chance. The only goal of the first half came on 11 minutes when Luke Nightingale met Ben Johnson's cross with a glancing header to beat Stuart Norman in the Camberley goal. Camberley's chances of creating a shock ended with two goals in the space of three minutes when Ben Johnson and the Terry Dodd added to the Bognor scoreline. Camberley pulled a goal back on 72 minutes when Michael Smith was tripped in the box and he converted the penalty himself. The three goal advantage was re-established on 78 minutes when a cross was diverted into his own net by Paul Andrews and the scoring was completed three minutes from time when substitute Prior headed home.

CHESSINGTON & HOOK UNITED (0) 2 CAMBERLEY TOWN (3) 8 : Cherry Red Records Combined Counties League Premier Division
The scoring started after 10 minutes when a corner was flicked on by the head of Adam Cornell, hit Luke Fontana and found its way into the net. We had to wait until the 43rd minute to go 2-0 up when Adam Cornell broke through the offside trap on the right and drilled a low shot across goal into the bottom left corner of the net. In stoppage time it was 3-0, James Mepham slotting home after Cornell's shot had been saved. The second half started with a little bit of Chessington & Hook pressure but Camberley hit back to make it 4-0 on the hour with Michael Smith scrambled the ball home after the keeper fumbled Michael Siemaks header. Chessington & Hook hit back with a well taken strike from Malik Buari on 70 minutes. Camberley made it 5-1 on 75 minutes with Matt Barclay firing home a 20-25 yard strike into the top right hand corner of the net. 82 minutes it became 6-1 when Michael Siemak headed home from a Stacey Thripp corner. Three minutes later Luke Taylor fired home after Matt Barclays cross was poorly cleared. Chessington reduced the arrears on 87 minutes when Stuart Norman made his one and only mistake of the evening and Malik Buari slotted home from close range. CAMBERLEY TOWN (1) 3 HANWORTH VILLA (0) 0 : Cherry Red Records Combined Counties League Premier Division
Another tough fixture ending with victory to Camberley. Hanworth came to Krooner Park as one of the teams that will be expecting to battle for the title this season and for the first 20 minutes of the match there was little between the teams, then Camberley got the breakthrough with James Mepham keeping his good scoring run going. Before the break, Camberley did get the ball in the net again but it was ruled out for offside. Hanworth had a goal ruled out for the same reason in the second half just before Camberley struck again with an excellent move that ended with and excellent strike from Adam Cornell that flew into the top corner of the net. James Mepham with his sixth in six matches since joining Camberley made sure of the points and a 3-0 win .

Nick Cavey gave Camberley breathing space before the break with a well taken second goal. The game was put beyond the reach of the hosts earl;y in the second half when Gavin Muir added his second of the afternoon. The scoring was completed with about 15 minutes to go when one of last seasons joint top scorers for the reserves, Luke Taylor, struck the fourth goal .

FARNHAM TOWN (1) 1 CAMBERLEY TOWN (1) 2 : Cherry Red Records Combined Counties League Premier Division
This evening we got the hard game that we expected on Saturday. Farnham Town, who have bolstered their squad during pre-season well started the better of the two sides but it was Camberley who took the lead after 18 minutes when Adam Cornell glanced home a header from a Thripp corner. Farnham hit back and levelled the scores just after the half hour mark when a quick break down the right wing saw a well placed cross headed home by Brad Smith. Camberley had a great chance from the penalty spot to go ahead early in the second half but Arjun Adlam saved Michael Smiths spot kick. Adam Cornell struck his second and the winning goal on 61 minutes after he cut in from the right and sent a low shot into the bottom right hand corner of the net .

CAMBERLEY TOWN RYL U-18's (0) 1 STAINES TOWN U-18's (3) 3 : Ryman Youth League West Division
The Under 18 Ryman side made their debut in the competition this evening and came up against a tough Staines Town side. Camberley gave as good as they got in the first half but Staines gave them a lesson in finishing, scoring three without replay before the half time break. The second half saw Camberley up their performance and pull a goal back through Kyle Wilkie but were unable to breach the Staines defence again as the visitors ran out worthy 3-1 winners.

THREE BRIDGES (1) 1 CAMBERLEY TOWN (4) 6 : The F.A. Cup with Budweiser Extra Preliminary Round
We travelled to Three Bridges expecting a tough hard match but clinical finishing in the opening 25 minutes saw us progress through to a Preliminary Round tie at Bognor Regis Town. Camberley took the lead after six minutes when Adam Cornell ran on to a through ball and drove the low into the bottom left hand corner. Two minutes later it was 2-0 when James Mepham was on hand to convert his first chance of the game. Jmaes Mepham added his second and Camberley's third on 14 minutes and the completed a first half hat-trick when he fired home from just outside the penalty area to make it 4-0. Five minutes before the break Three Bridges pulled a goal back. The goal was a boost for the home sides as they came out on the attack at the start of the second half. Camberley had to absorb some pressure but had the perfect reply when they caught the hosts on the break and Adam Cornell added goal number five. It was Adam's final bit of outfield action as Chris Foster picked up an calf injury soon after and Adam took over in goal. Three Bridges tested Adam Cornell a few times and were unlucky not to pull a goal back but some fine saves including tipping a free kick onto the crossbar kept them at bay. Ten minutes from the end, the scoring was completed when Mitch While ran on to a nicely weighted pass from Matt Griffiths to score Camberley's sixth .

CAMBERLEY TOWN RESERVES (2) 3 COLLIERS WOOD UNITED RESERVES (0) 1 : Suburban League Premier Division 'B'
The Reserves started their league campaign with a fine win over Colliers Wood United. A good performance all round saw the lads record a 3-1 victory, taking a first half lead through Jamie Madden and then adding a second just before the break through Joe Wilson. Colliers Wood pulled a goal back in the second half but a goal from new signing Arik Galliwz secured the win.

WINDSOR FC v CAMBERLEY TOWN : Cherry Red Records Combined Counties League Premier Division
Match Abandoned after 25 minutes due to floodlight failure

This evenings match was forced to be abandoned after 25 minutes when the generator powering the floodlight system at Stag Meadow failed. Windsor were given 20 minutes to try and get it working but unfortunately it was un-repairable. Up to that point Camberley had been the better side creating three good chances but it was Windsor who took the lead with their first effort on target, two minutes prior to the abandonment with a glancing header from Ben Porter.

CAMBERLEY TOWN (2) 3 RAYNES PARK VALE (0) 1 : Cherry Red Records Combined Counties League Premier Division
Back to winning ways for Camberley today with a 3-1 win over Raynes Park Vale. Raynes Park Vale were determined not to suffer a repeat of last season's 7-0 scoreline and set their stall out accordingly. Raynes Park Vale had a very good early chance to take the lead but Simon Moore was denied by the legs of Foster. The resulting corner was then headed goalwards by Josh Gayle and it needed a header off the line to keep the scores level. It took Camberley 26 minutes to get the breakthrough and it came from the head of Matt Griffiths, converting an excellent inswinging corner from Stacey Thripp. Two minutes later it was 2-0 and it was Matt Griffiths again, this time slotting home from close range after a five man passing move sliced open the visiting defence. Raynes Park Vale came back at Camberley in the second half and on 54 minutes, reduced the deficit when Simon Moore was allowed to run in from the right wing and fire past Foster. Camberley were determined not to have a repeat of the Tuesday night loss and went for a third and conclusive goal and got it on 74 minutes when Matt Griffiths forced a fine save from Dean Cupit in the Raynes Park Vale goal and substitute Ben Hill swept home the rebound.

CAMBERLEY TOWN (2) 2 BADSHOT LEA (0) 3 : Cherry Red Records Combined Counties League Premier Division
The shoe was on the other foot as they say, this evening as Camberley suffered the same fate that Colliers Wood did on Saturday. Like Colliers Wood, we held a two goal lead at the half time break but the opposition came back to grab the win inside the final ten minutes. For an hour of this game, Camberley looked as if they would pick up the three points. On 27 minutes Dale Webb's free kick into the box was not held by the keeper and Paul Andrews was first to react to plant the ball into the back of the net. Paul Andrews doubled his, and Camberley's tally by glancing home with his head from Stacey Thripp's free kick, a couple of minutes before half time. It was all looking good for Camberley until the 63rd minute when Dan Ker's rasping drive was well saved by Chris Foster but the resulting cross back in saw John Pomroy volley Badshot Lea back into the game. Badshot Lea drew level on 83 minutes when Adam Cornell's headed clearance found Dan Ker on the edge of the penalty area and he fired home through a crowded penalty area. Badshot Lea clinched all three points in the 89th minute when James Mariner fired for goal. Chris Foster got his legs to the ball but it was not enough to stop the ball finding the back of the net .

COLLIERS WOOD UNITED (3) 3 CAMBERLEY TOWN (1) 4 : Cherry Red Records Combined Counties League Premier Division
Camberley got off to a slow start, finding themselves 3-1 down at half time. Chris Gregson gave Colliers Wood the lead after taking advantage of confusion caused by a long throw. Michael Smith levelled the score from the penalty spot afters he had been tripped in the penalty area. A dipping 25 yard effort from Gregson saw him score his and Colliers Wood's second and James Davies then made it 3-1 to the hosts just before the break. The second half saw Camberley fight back. They had two penalty appeals and hit the crossbar before James Mepham scored a debut goal to reduce the arrears. Soon after Michael Blount headed home a Stacey Thripp corner to make it 3-3. Camberley's winner started with another set piece that was only cleared as far as Jeff Cavey who sent the ball back into the penalty area when Matt Griffiths controlled, side stepped his marker before slotting home the winner at the near post.
.
STAINES LAMMAS RESERVES (1) 2 CAMBERLEY TOWN RESERVES (5) 9 : Pre Season Friendly
We were expecting a tough run out but it turned out to be a lot easier than expected against a youthful Staines Lammas side. Matt Barclay fired Camberley into a 5th minute lead and then headed home the second on 18 minutes. Staines Lammas pulled one back on 23 minutes but the two goal advantage was regained just two minutes when Matt Barclay was fouled in the penalty area. He converted his own spot kick to complete a first half hat-trick. Sam Berridge hit a 30 yard strike to make it 4-1 on 33 minutes and another two minutes later a quickly taken free kick saw Ben Hill make it five. We had to wait until the 59th minute for 6-1 and again it was Matt Barclay scoring. Staines Lammas pulled another goal back on 67 minutes. Camberley hit straight back to make it seven through Brett Wickens, who was last seen in a Camberley shirt about eight seasons ago. Luke Taylor made it eight on 77 minutes with a shot in off the post and Matt Barclay made it 9-2, scoring his fifth with a 25 effort. Camberley went looking for a tenth in the final ten minutes but Staines battled hard to make sure it didn't happen.

CAMBERLEY TOWN RESERVES (0) 0 HAMPTON & RICHMOND BOROUGH (0) 2 : Pre Season Friendly
Paul Barry's new Hampton & Richmond Borough Reserve side were the latest visitors to Krooner Park for a friendly against our Reserves. It was a close, entertaining game which was eventually won by the visitors. Both sides created some good chances and both hit the woodwork before Hampton & Richmond clinched the victory with two goals in the space of three minutes with around a quarter of an hour left of the match.

STAINES LAMMAS (0) 1 CAMBERLEY TOWN (1) 3 : Pre Season Friendly
Another pre season victory was completed with two quick strikes in the second half. Camberley had the better of the play and possession in the first half and went in at the half time break with a 1-0 lead after Michael Blount thundered home a free kick from 20 yards out via the top of the crossbar. The second half saw Staines Lammas fight back but it was Camberley who extended their lead when Michael Blount struck another free kick goal bound. The keeper made a fine save but could not hold the shot and Tom Booth followed up to slot home the rebound. The lead was extended to three a couple of minutes later when Mitch While ran on to a through ball to lob the keeper. Just over five minutes from tome Staines Lammas pulled a goal back with a well struck shot by Ryan Curtis.

CAMBERLEY TOWN (2) 5 BRACKNELL TOWN (1) 1 : Pre Season Friendly
Camberley Town fielded a mixed side made up of 1st teamers, Reserves and a number of last seasons Youth team players. There was little between the two sides in the first half with Bracknell opening the scoring with a well taken strike from Harry Swabey, Camberley hit back and took the lead by the half time break with a well placed shot from Ben Acton and an excellent header from Matt Barclay. Two goals in quick succession with just under 20 minutes to go gave Camberley the friendly win coming from Luke Taylor and Jamie Madden. Adam Cornell completed the scoring against one of his ex-clubs.

WOODLEY TOWN RESERVES (0) 0 CAMBERLEY TOWN RESERVES (4) 6
WOODLEY TOWN (0) 1 CAMBERLEY TOWN (1) 2 : Pre Season Friendlies
Injuries, holidays and work commitments meant that we only had about 25 out of 45 players available for this double headed friendly against Woodley Town at Cantley Park, Wokingham. It didn't seem to affect the sides though. In the opening match between the two reserve XI's, Camberley rushed into a four goal lead inside the opening 25 minutes with goals coming from Michael Blount (2), Rob Lance and Matt Barclay. Rob Lance could have made it five by the break but he strayed offside before tucking a cross from the right, past the keeper. New man Ed Durnell added a fifth and Joe Wilson tucked home from close range near the end to give Camberley a 6-0 win. The 1st XI's kicked off at 2pm and this game was much closer. Camberley had the upper hand in the first half and took the lead around the half hour mark when another new man Jamie Connor slotted home after Mitch While had an effort blocked. Mitch was not to be denied though and it was he who added the second goal midway through the second half, poking the ball past the keeper after the ball had broken free in the penalty area. Woodley hit back near the end with a penalty after Adam Cornell handled the ball in the penalty area.

WESTFIELD (1) 1 CAMBERLEY TOWN XI (2) 2 : Pre Season Friendly
With the 1st XI off training at Watchetts Rec, this friendly gave managers Darren Barnard and Paul Davis the opportunity to look at a number of trialists, youth and reserve players as well as a new signing or two for the first team. The match had been originally scheduled as an away friendly at Bisley but at 6pm the Bisley pitch was deemed unplayable and the match was quickly switched to Krooner Park for a 7:30 kick off. Camberley had the better of the first half, taking the lead on 25 minutes when Rob Lance played Luke Taylor through on the right to score with a low shot. Westfield were restricted to just a couple of first half chances but took one of them, from a free kick, to level the scores. Two minutes before the break, Camberley retook the lead when a well placed cross from the right was met by a glancing header from Luke Taylor which gave the keeper no chance to save. The second half was a more even affair with Westfield going within inches of clinching a draw with a shot that cannoned back off the post. Camberley went on to clinch a 2-1 win. A good run out and i'm sure many lessons were learnt by both sides as they prepare for the new season.
.

The club have decided to continue to run two under 18 sides and the other one will take their place in the Allied Counties Youth League Premier Division next season. Regrettably, the SYL team management of Colin Pack and Andy North have decided not to continue next season. Andy will be staying with the club in the Reserve team Assistant Manager role. Colin is taking a break from football for a while but it is hoped that he will return to Camberley Town in one form or another in the future. In the meantime, Camberley Town are looking to appoint a new management team to take the new ACL side into their first ever ACL Premier Division campaign. All interested parties in applying for the position CLICK HERE to apply.

Sunday, May 29th 2011

It had been expected that the new club Windsor FC would be placed in the Hellenic League. A week ago the new club, formed out of the ashes of the old Windsor & Eton FC, were notified by the Football Association that they would be starting in the national league system at level 5, two levels below the old clubs level and that they would be placed in the Cherry Red Records Combined Counties League instead of the expected Hellenic League. The club now have to negotiate a lease with the Crown Estate for the Stag Meadow ground, and have it in place by June 20th when the Combined Counties League have their AGM. If they are accepted and Farnham Town and South Park are promoted given they have passed their ground grading it could be bad news for Bookham who may well be relegated to Division One.

The lads then went on to win the overall Championship shield, again for a second season running, beating the champions of the other two divisions. The lads also reached the final of the Hampshire Invitational Floodlit Youth Cup where they narrowly lost out 2-1 to an Aldershot Town side featuring 18 full time players. Next season will see a side mainly of the new intake of players through the Youth trials compete in the Nescafe Allied Counties League Premier Division.
